This end-of-term activity rotation resource is designed for Junior Visual Arts classes and includes 7 rotation stations, each with templates students can complete independently.
I use this with my Junior classes by keeping students in their usual seating plan and rotating them through each station in their table groups. Each station takes approximately 20 minutes based on a Year 7 class.
Because my Juniors do not use art journals yet, I create a manila folder for each student with a station checklist glued to the front. This helps students keep all of their work together and allows them to track which activities they have completed.
I also recommend placing a teacher model/example at each station so students can clearly see what they are working towards.
If students finish before the timer, I allow them to return to and complete any unfinished activities from previous stations. This worked really well with my class and helped keep students focused and on task.
You will need:
Collage materials, coloured and textured paper, scissors, glue, manila folders, coloured pencils, pencil cases for shared table materials, texture plates, printed templates, and black fine liners.
